Undergraduate Research Assistants

Undergraduate research assistants in the Practice-Oriented Research Lab experience and participate in lab research activities, learn about the ins and outs of applied psychology research, work along side clinical psychology graduate students as well as clinical psychologist and professor Dr. James Boswell, and listen in on weekly lab meetings and research updates. This is a great opportunity for undergraduate students in psychology or other related majors to get a sense of how research in this field is conducted, and observe what it is like to move forward as a graduate student in clinical psychology. Research assistants are required to work for a minimum of 8 hours per week in the lab, and have a variety of responsibilities including running participants through current experiments, entering data into excel and SPSS, helping graduate students with their research endeavors, conducting literature reviews for upcoming projects and papers, and more. Dedicated students may also have the opportunity to create research projects of their own for an honors thesis project.
